1. Our Commitment

Meelay™ is a matrimonial platform operated by Xfstech Solutions LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India. Meelay is intended only for adults aged 18 years or older who are seeking a life partner. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for any content or conduct that endangers a child. These Standards apply to all users, all content, and all communication on the platform.

2. Meelay Is an 18+ Platform

Meelay is intended exclusively for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Marriage of minors is unlawful in India under the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006. We do not knowingly permit any person under 18 to register or use the Service. We enforce this through a mandatory date-of-birth check at sign-up, mandatory government-ID verification (Voter ID or Driver’s Licence, plus live video verification) before a user can send Connection Requests, and immediate removal of any account found to belong to a person under 18.

3. Prohibited Conduct (Zero Tolerance)

The following are strictly prohibited and result in permanent removal and, where required by law, a report to the authorities:

  • Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
  • Sexualisation of a minor in imagery or text.
  • Child grooming, online or offline.
  • Inappropriate sexual interaction targeted at a child.
  • Sextortion using real or alleged access to intimate images.
  • Trafficking or solicitation of any person for commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Any attempt by an adult to locate, contact, or solicit a minor through the platform.

4. How to Report a Concern

Every profile and message in Meelay includes a Report and Block function. Child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority. You can also contact our designated point of contact, who also serves as our Grievance Officer under Indian law:

5. How We Respond

On obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM or credible child-endangerment, we promptly remove the content, suspend and permanently remove the responsible account(s), preserve evidence as permitted and required by law, and report confirmed CSAM to Indian law enforcement, including through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and the local police, in line with our mandatory-reporting obligations under the POCSO Act, 2012. We additionally report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We preserve evidence as permitted and required by law and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

6. Legal Compliance

Meelay complies with applicable child-safety laws, including the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006; the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012; the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021; and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Meelay is an “intermediary” under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and maintains a process to report confirmed CSAM to the relevant Indian authorities and to NCMEC.
